44 international graduates took the medical oath

“I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment!” said, in unison, the 44 international graduates enrolled at  Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Medicine study program, in the spring of 2019.

The doctor's oath ceremony took place in the Senate Hall, on December 12, 2024, in the presence of representatives of the University's administrative team, deans, heads of departments, teaching staff, students, parents and friends.

The solemn event was inaugurated by rector Emil Ceban, who congratulated the young graduates and thanked them for choosing to study in the Republic of Moldova and at our university. "We are sure that you will practice medicine with dignity, honesty, empathy and responsibility, and you will be the best ambassadors of the University in the world," the rector stated.

Dean of Faculty of Medicine no. 2 Mircea Betiu urged the graduates to be open to innovation and progress, to keep the nice memories of teachers and student life, Alma Mater and Moldova in their hearts.

For his part, Pavel Chisaru, the interim president of the Association of Medical Students and Residents from Moldova, came with a message of support for the graduates: "Medicine is more than a profession - it is a calling which requires compassion, integrity, perseverance and determination. Dear graduates, it does not matter in which country you will practice medicine, the most important thing is that you will represent Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova with honor. Congratulations!"

The ceremony culminated with the firm recitation of the Physician's Oath in English. Deeply moved, the graduates uttered the most important words that will connect them to the future medical career.

On behalf of the Class of 2024 (II), Noushad Juguma Harees addressed a message of gratitude to the teachers for guiding them throughout their years of study, sharing experience and wisdom, making them the professionals they are today! The young man recalled moments from his six years of studies at the faculty, which were beautiful, including due to his classmates. “Together we learned, laughed and created lifelong memories,” concluded the graduate.

The 44 graduates from India, Israel and Ukraine completed their studies in English.

We would like to remind that, starting from 2018, the admission of foreign students to Nicolae Testemitanu University is organized biannually: in spring and in autumn. Respectively, young people enrolled at the university in spring complete their studies later.
